The Space

A little corner of downtown Portland where good hair (and good energy) lives.

Hair Terrarium lives on the third floor of The North Pacific Building — a beautiful old building in the heart of downtown Portland with the kind of character you can't fake. High ceilings, warm light, and the quiet hum of other independent creatives doing their thing behind neighboring doors.


Our space that feels like somewhere you'd actually want to hang out. Think vintage finds, plants (obviously), and a chair that's all yours for the duration of your appointment. No waiting area chaos, no overstimulation — just us.

The Building

The North Pacific Building sits at 917 SW Oak Street, right in the middle of downtown Portland. It's one of those Portland gems — a historic building filled with independent studios, small businesses, and a whole lot of creative energy. If you've never been inside, you're in for a treat.

The North Pacific Building

Getting Here

When you arrive, enter the door code (sent to you pre-appointment; press the star first, wait for the buzz, then open the door). Take the elevator or stairs up to the third floor and head to Studio 311 — no need to knock, just come right in.


Please give yourself plenty of time to find the space, and try not to arrive more than 10 minutes early.

Street parking and several nearby garages are available. The garage directly across the street at 362 SW 10th Ave is the easiest option. The Whole Foods garage offers 90 minutes free with a purchase, and you can also park in the Pearl District and walk across Burnside at 10th Ave.


Indoor bike parking is available inside the building. Bike room code sent pre-appointment.

Cancellations

I totally understand that things come up. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give me at least 48 hours notice.

Appointments canceled with less than 48 hours notice will be charged 50% of the scheduled service. Appointments canceled with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be charged 100% of the scheduled service. Everyone gets one grace cancellation per year for those unexpected situations. After that, the policy will apply.
